Combine silkscreening with our duplication or replication services and you get on-demand Blu-ray. Blu-ray silkscreening is a printing technique that uses a finely woven mesh made of steel, nylon or polyester stretched over a frame of aluminum or wood to support an ink-blocking stencil. The technique is ancient and stems from the days screens were made from human hair and then silk. The mesh forms open areas that transfer ink as a sharp, well-defined image onto a surface below. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen, forcing or pumping ink into the open areas past the threads of the woven mesh.


SLI Manufacturing also offers offset printing on the disc face of Blu-ray Recordables in addition to Silkscreening.
